Dumfries and Galloway Health and Social Care Partnership are recruiting a Communications Team Lead to take on a range of responsibilities in an often exciting, innovative and fast-moving field of work.
The Dumfries and Galloway Integration Joint Board is committed to improving the care and support of people in Dumfries and Galloway. It has responsibility for the vast majority of health and adult social care services delivered within the region, ranging from hospital services to care homes, mental health to drugs and alcohol.
You will head up a team of communications officers who are responsible for internal and external communications within the Partnership, interacting with public, media and elected members, and developing communication and engagement campaigns and activities.
The successful candidate will have a background in the world of communications or journalism, be educated to Masters Degree level or equivalent, or professional development equivalent, have demonstrable recent experience in line managing a team of professionals, and will have a genuine eagerness to support the important work being carried out across health and social care in Dumfries and Galloway.
