Pharmacist Specialist – Primary Care – Band 7

37.5 hours per week Marr Cluster, Aberdeenshire

We have an exciting opportunity for a registered pharmacist to join the Marr Primary Care Pharmacotherapy team.  The post holder will join a developing team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians and be key to the ongoing provision of the pharmacotherapy service promoting quality and cost-effective prescribing across the Marr Cluster. 

The post holder will work as a pharmacist across GP practice(s)/community hospital(s) in the Marr Cluster, Aberdeenshire covering all aspects of medicines management and pharmacotherapy to ensure safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medicines in line with local and national guidelines.

The Marr Cluster has a population of around 38,000 and includes Aboyne, Alford, Ballater, Banchory, Braemar, Bydand, Torphins & Strathdon GP Practices and Aboyne, Glen O’Dee and Huntly Community Hospitals. 

You may have a community or hospital pharmacy background. Good communication, interpersonal and time management skills are essential.  Experience of working within Primary Care, medicines management and audit would be an advantage.  Full driving licence essential.
