We are looking for a candidate, who is dynamic, self-motivated and an experienced Speech and Language Therapist for this team lead post based within West Dunbartonshire HSCP based at Clydebank. You will be responsible for a team of SLTs and clinical support staff, providing leadership, support and guidance and ensuring effective caseload management across the team in order to meet identified service needs and service level commitments as specified. You will provide a Speech & Language Therapy Service to children and young people with complex communication difficulties. You will be responsible for assessment, diagnosis and management of your own caseload; maintaining associated records; providing highly specialist speech and language therapy intervention to children up to 18 years old from admission to discharge. The caseload will include children with complex additional support needs e.g. Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental language disorder. The service will be provided in a variety of settings including pre-5, mainstream and ASN education establishments. The team offers friendly and supportive colleagues, a well-developed peer support and reflective practice structure and regular professional development opportunities. You will have an appropriate Ordinary/Honours degree in Speech and Language Pathology or equivalent diploma, Certificate to Practice as a Speech and Language Therapist as awarded by the RCSLT and registration with RCSLT and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You should have a minimum of 5 years post-graduate paediatric experience, previous experience in carrying out ASD assessment, full drivers licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are essential.
