This is an exciting opportunity to join the NHSGGC Spiritual Care Team as a Healthcare Chaplain.  We are the largest Health Board in Scotland and the successful candidate will get the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills across four key areas of service : Mental Health Services, Older People’s Care, Paediatrics and Maternity Services, and End of Life Care.  Working across eight hospital sites, You will get the opportunity to apply current national initiatives in Spiritual Care in their work with patients, carers, volunteers, and staff.  You should be able to  Deliver appropriate spiritual, religious and pastoral care to all patients, visitors, staff and volunteers, regardless of faith or life stance. and act as a link to various community faith and belief groups, supporting and facilitating the care of their members while they are in healthcare.  You should have a degree or eqivalent in theology/religious studies/philosophy, including spiritual care. you should have good communications skills, good IT skills and Certificate in Counselling/ training in Community Chaplaincy listening is desirable.  This post is fixed term for 12 months and the hours will be worked Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and on call rota.
