Locum Appointment for Training (LAT) – Emergency Medicine UH Wishaw
This post is available from 4th August 2021 at LAT1-4 level based at UH Wishaw within the Emergency Medicine West of Scotland (WOS) Training Programme. Confirmation on level will be deterred at interview by the Training Programme Director. The post provide experience in all aspects of Emergency Medicine in a mix adult, paediatric and trauma covering an urban and rural community.
The successful applicant will be expected to register with the College of Emergency Medicine’s e-portfolio system. The post will be fixed term for a period of 12 months until 2nd August 2022.
To practice medicine in the UK you need to hold both GMC registration and a licence to practice.
LAT posts hold Educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean. If appointed as a Clinical Fellow the post will not be recognised for training.
NHS Lanarkshire is constantly reviewing its rotas to maintain New Deal compliance together with the new arrangements as set down by the Scottish Government and Scottish Medical Training (SMT). Rotas therefore, may be subject to change.
NHS Lanarkshire has excellent post-graduate libraries and IT facilities. Active post-graduate educational programmes are in place, including dedicated protected teaching sessions for junior doctors
