Applications are welcomed for the role of Advanced Podiatrist in Foot Protection.

37.5 hours per week substantive

22.5 hours per week substantive (Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

The Podiatry Service aims to deliver high quality care to patients and their carers.

The key responsibilities of the service are to provide triage, assessment, diagnosis and treatment to a diverse range of conditions and patient types in a variety of environments. There is also a key role in linking with care homes, nursing homes and other care providers as a point of contact and expert advice.

The Foot Protection teams in NHS GG&C Podiatry work in multidisciplinary environments with strong working relationships with Diabetes, Vascular Surgery, Nursing and Orthotics services.

These roles provide clinical care and leadership in foot protection across acute and community clinics, nursing homes and domiciliary environments.

Applicants should have a degree or diploma in Podiatry, educated to Masters level  or equivalent gained through extensive clinical experience, current HCPC registration and POM-A entitlement. Experience of prescription only medicines though POM-S or Independent Prescribing annotation would be desirable.

Applicants should have minimum of 5 years of post graduate experience or equivalent in specialist area, including a minimum of 2 years experience at band 6 in a foot protection role. They should possess excellent communication skills and be able to, demonstrate effective clinical leadership.

The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm
