WARD 5C (CAL / SDCU)

STAFF NURSE – BAND 5

Part Time (23 Hours per week)

Permanent

Salary Scale £26,104 - £32,915 per annum, pro rata

Ward 5C is a dynamic, efficient ward that has multi-function as the Common Admission Lounge, Surgical Day Case Unit and also has rotation opportunity to Ward 4A Head & Neck Unit / Short Stay Unit and the Ophthalmology Outpatients Dept. The ward provides care for elective surgeries, procedures and investigations and therefore the post holder must be able to cope with a variety of patients, specialties and health care workers.

We are looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic, caring and compassionate individual who wants the challenge of delivering high quality, patient-centred care, in a busy and dynamic ward and has the quality attributes to adapt to the diversity of the role.

Ideally the post holder will have some experience looking after patients within an acute setting; however we offer in-house training for those with limited experience.  Working on a busy surgical ward you will gain wide exposure to all surgical specialties whilst gaining competency in many clinical skills.
