Location: Sir George Sharp Unit Cameron Hospital and Education Centre at Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy and Queen Margaret Hospital Dunfermline
Hours: 40 Hours per Week (60% Neurorehabilitation / 40% Medical Education)
Duraton of Post: Fixed Term for one year
NHS Fife Department of Medical Education seeks an enthusiastic doctor wishing to develop an interest in teaching and training. Working in association with the Director and Associate Directors of Medical Education as well as the Medical Education Services Support Team, you will help provide and enhance the quality of undergraduate teaching and training provided by NHS Fife to ScotGEM students. The post will also provide opportunities for involvement in educational research and development and may provide the post holder an opportunity to get involved in developing skills in the new Simulation Centre at the Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline.
You will work clinically as a member of the neurorehabilitation team providing medical input and support to Fife Rehabilitation Service (FRS) based at the Sir George Sharp Unit and to Letham Ward, the stroke rehabilitation ward at Cameron Hospital 60% of the time.
You will be post Foundation Year 2 with full GMC registration. You will have a strong interest in medical education, excellent communication skills and a high level of personal initiative.
