You will be responsible for managing the administrative and clerical work within Obstetrics & Gynaecology, ensuring that it is performed to a high quality and carried out effectively. You will develop and maintain the administrative and secretarial systems and processes to effectively support the clinical service, undertake line management responsibility for all administration and clerical (A&C) staff within Obstetrics & Gynaecology.Responsible for recording sickness absence, annual leave and other leave on departmental and NHSGG&C systems for all A&C staff. and work closely with local management team in the achievement of service objectives including waiting times and HEAT targets.You will be required to be educated to SVQ/111, HND in Secretarial / Business Administration (or equivalent experience) with significant demonstrable experience in a senior administrative role, working in a complex, developing environment preferably within the NHS. You will be Highly developed organisation skills, including the ability to prioritise conflicting priorities, solve problems and work under pressure to tight timescale, Experience of staff management / supervision.Excellent interpersonal, leadership and negotiation skills. and have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues at all levels with the ability to retain credibility at all levels. The hours of this post will be worked Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
