Trainee Anaesthesia Associates – 2 posts
This is an exciting opportunity to apply for a postgraduate diploma course, studied over 24 months with an additional three months’ probationary period served in clinical practice to conclude training.
Essential requirements are an upper second class degree in Biomedical, Biological, Paramedical or Life Sciences or registered nurse/operating department practitioner with appropriate post registration experience in a clinically relevant area (HDU, ITU, Theatres or ED). The successful candidate/s will enter the Anaesthesia Associate course at the University of Birmingham (Distance Learning) whilst being based at University Hospital Hairmyres. Salary will be Band 7 /Annex U until successful course completion.
Applicants who do not meet the essential criteria will be considered under the Annex 21 training programme where whilst undergoing training they will be paid a percentage of the top of Band 7 and on completion of training will then move on to Band 7 scale.
