OUR VALUES IN ACTION
●Care and Compassion ●Quality and Teamwork ●Dignity and Respect ●Openness, honesty and responsibility

This role reports to the Employee Director and the Director of Workforce. The Employee Director represents the interests of all NHS Borders staff and trades unions & professional organisations. The Employee Director works with a team of trade union stewards. The Director of Workforce is responsible for HR and Occupational Health & Safety Services, a total of fifty staff.

The people agenda is a critical one in the NHS and deals with every part of the employment journey from recruitment to retirement and everything in between. Whilst the two Directors can come from different perspectives, they share a desire to make NHS Borders the best and fairest employer it can be.

The role will require an experienced administrator, with excellent IT and organisational skills. The post-holder will manage the schedules of both Directors and will be expected to capture a concise note of key meetings like the Area Partnership Forum, Staff Governance Committee and Equality in Employment Group. Discretion will be an important feature of this job as the two Directors will occasionally be involved in matters which require the utmost confidentiality.
