As Deputy Director of Property, Planning and Performance you will lead and act on behalf of the Director of Property, Planning and Performance in the delivery of high quality effective services across a wide portfolio which includes.
• Strategic planning
• Service review, service modernisation and innovation
• Capital Planning and development
• Performance Management
• Property and support services
• Patient Focus and Public Involvement.
In addition to an overarching depute responsibility, the postholder will be the strategic responsible leader for:
• Environmental Sustainability
• Development of the Former University Hospital Monklands Site
• Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contract review
• Performance Management
Fully accountable for leading and driving progress within the identified areas of responsibility and will have a high degree of autonomy and will be required to function as a source of expertise and advice to senior officers and functions The postholder is required to work collaboratively with senior clinical and managerial colleagues in a matrix management approach to achieve this. You will be the nominated formal Deputy to the Director of Planning, Property and Performance is expected to attend NHSL Board meetings/formal Board Committees and to chair a full range of divisional management team meetings on behalf of the Director of Planning, Property and Performance.
The postholder will participate in the NHSL Executive Director On Call rota.
The successful candidate must beeducated to masters level in a relevant discipline (e.g. management, HR, finance, or law), or equivalent with evidence of ongoing professional development with considerable senior NHS managerial experience with recent evidence of effectively implementing organisational changes and evidence of effective resource management.
Proven track record of staff management, leadership and motivation through cohesive and effective team working.
Demonstrate highly analytical judgment and critical leadership skills to create and sustain the programs.
Ability to develop and maintain effective, positive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, providing a positive role model for engagement, involvement and partnership working. Previous roles demonstrating knowledge and skills in the areas of performance management, numeracy, financial management and effective change.
Sound, practical understanding and experience of program management and redesign and skills in leadership, coordination and direction of multi-faceted program management approach. Qualification and detailed knowledge of contemporary approaches to project management. A knowledge and experience of approaches to risk management is essential.
A working knowledge and experience in strategic process improvement techniques and tools.
