The University Hospital Wishaw is looking for 2 enthusiastic & dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Care of the Elderly Team, a full-time position and a part-time position of 30 hours. 

Please note this is a part-time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Registered Nurse to enhance their clinical skills & knowledge in the care of the elderly.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse will have responsibility for the assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care, and/or the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients. Carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision. Demonstrate procedures to and supervise registered and/or unregistered staff, as well as student nurses.

Duties may vary with the type of ward/department and the degree of patient dependency

Registered Nurse with a valid UK NMC Registration

Excellent team working skills with the ability to work using their own initiative

Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Excellent time management skills

Working knowledge of basic information technology
