We are pleased to invite Applications as part of our 2021 Newly Qualified Adult Nurse recruitment programme for a range of Agenda for Change Band 5 Adult Staff Nurse posts located across a number of our Acute Hospital sites in Glasgow, Paisley and Greenock (West Central Scotland)

Opportunities are available at a number of our Acute Hospital sites within several key specialties. Important Information: As part of the application process we will ask you to list up to 3 preferences by the Hospital site you would like to work. As part of your interview you will be given an opportunity to discuss which of the specialties are of most interest to you. Please note if you are successful in being offered a post whilst we will endeavor to match you to a post you have identified as your preferred choice we cannot always guarantee you will be offered your first choice due to the availability of posts in this round of recruitment.

About NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the 14 regions of NHS Scotland. Our Acute Services serve an immediate population of approximately 1.15m providing a full range of secondary and territory care services to residents across the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area as well as also providing a wide range of regional West of Scotland  and National services.

Our Acute Services has a workforce of around 21,000 staff and an annual revenue budget of approximately £1.4 billion and provides services through 6000 beds across:

• 9 Acute inpatient sites
• The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre
• 10 Mental Health Inpatient sites
• 6 Mental health long stay rehabilitation sites
• 61 health centres and clinics

Applications are invited from Newly Qualified Nurses – Adult Branch due to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in 2021. 

Applications must be received by the closing date of Tuesday 14^th September 2021. 

Interviews scheduled to take place late September /early October 2021

Referees must be an academic supervisor and a previous mentor/sign-off mentor/practice assessor.

Due to social distancing interviews will take place virtually via Microsoft Teams, full guidance on how to prepare and access Microsoft teams will be provided in advance of the interview dates.

You can enjoy living in great locations across Glasgow and its outskirts - all with good transport links to our Acute Hospital sites.

In addition to the city of Glasgow, East and West Dunbartonshire, Inverclyde, Ayrshire, North and South Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire make up this captivating and eclectic part of the country.
