Lamlash – Isle of Arran

We are seeking a Paramedic Team Leader to join our community ambulance team serving the Isle of Arran. Your primary role will be to lead a team of ten clinicians who are responsible for providing ambulance services to a resident population of approximately 5,500, although this figure increases substantially during the tourist season.

If you are you an existing Team Leader, or a qualified Paramedic wishing to develop in a leadership role, then this opportunity may be of interest to you? - Arran is perfect all year round, and is a great location to escape the busy city life, whilst maintaining accessible links to the mainland when required.

The Isle of Arran is positioned just off the west coast of Scotland and it is the largest island in the Firth of Clyde and the seventh largest Scottish island, at 432 square kilometres. Historically once part of Buteshire, it is now in the unitary council area of North Ayrshire. Arran is a place where you can find a little bit of everything you'd ever want from a Scottish island, an ever-changing coastline, dramatic mountain peaks, sheltered beaches, verdant forests, great cultural festivals and a wealth of tasty local produce. A visit packs in a lot of flavour - taste your way around the island as you try creamy cheeses, refreshing beers, traditional oatcakes, tempting chocolates and delicious ice cream. Visitors can book a tour at the Arran Distillery to discover the secrets behind the distilling process before sampling a dram of malt whisky or the creamy liqueur Arran Gold. Nature lovers should pack their binoculars, red squirrels, deer, golden eagles, otters, seals, basking sharks and more can often be seen across the island and on the coastline. Finally, for the more energetic, you can try a number of thrilling outdoor adventure activities, or why not scale Goatfell; the largest mountain on Arran. It's a Corbett, sitting at 2,866 ft above sea level.

If you are a self motivated individual seeking to enjoy the above-mentioned island lifestyle, whilst at the same time wishing to continue or develop in your chosen career, then we would like to hear from you.

Informal enquiries are welcome and should be directed to: Ron J Lilly, Area Service Manager, on Tel: 07920 271874.
