The Medical Physics Department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary combines a high quality, comprehensive clinical service with a strong academic record in medical imaging. This post will be cantered in Nuclear Medicine (NM). NM well equipped with 3 dual headed gamma cameras, 2 with CT, a state-of-the-art PET centre (including PET/CT, a cyclotron and full radio-chemistry facilities), a counting lab and a radio-nuclide therapy service). We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious physicist with good IT skills and knowledge of radiation protection. Research and/or programming experience involving image processing, and a good grasp of statistics would be a significant advantage.
Candidates should be registered with the HCPC or be close to fulfilling the requirements for registration. A successful candidate who is not HCPC registered would be employed at Band 6 pending registration.
