A new and exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate HCPC Registered Dietitian to join our Nutrition and Dietetics Service and Highland Gastroenterology multidisciplinary team has arisen.
The Gastroenterology MDT is currently comprised of 3 Specialist Dietitians, 4 Consultant Physicians and 9 Clinical Nurse Specialists with a commitment to service development and clinical excellence. This is a dynamic and innovative service with a clear focus on patient centred care.
The post will be split between acute services focusing on supporting the inflammatory bowel disease team and primary care supporting the role out of a dietetic-led IBS pathway. As this is a new role, you will have the flexibility to be forward-thinking and look at areas for development whilst working within the team to drive forward a number of innovative projects. The post holder will receive clinical support and supervision from the GI Dietetic Lead, working to achieve a number of essential dietetic competencies specific to Gastroenterology dietetics.
Candidates will require post-registration experience ideally within a multi-disciplinary team setting. The ability to work well under pressure, problem solve and prioritise as well as being able to adapt in a constantly evolving environment are essential. There will also be opportunity within this post to contribute to the wider dietetic team participating in clinical supervision, dietetic and wider MDT student training.
