The vaccine holding centre is currently based within the pharmacy department at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert. The successful candidates will assist the Senior Pharmacy Technician, Vaccine Services and the Senior Pharmacy Support Worker Vaccine Services in the supply of vaccines to ensure delivery of the National Immunisation Programmes within locations throughout NHS Forth Valley.
You should be an organised person who can work to deadlines and enjoys interaction with members of the public and healthcare staff. A full driving license is required for this post.
Duties will include receipt of vaccine deliveries and ensuring their correct storage. Assembly of all vaccine orders, delivery of vaccines to GP surgeries, Health centres and Schools/Colleges in Forth Valley, ensuring cold chain maintenance is adhered to at all times. Assisting the Senior Pharmacy Technician Vaccine Services and Senior Pharmacy Support Worker Vaccine Services with any Cold Chain or Vaccine related workload.
Previous experience in a related field would be advantageous but not essential.
Part time post hours of work will be Thursday and Friday 8.30 – 5pm and Wednesday 13.15 – 17.00
Full time post hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8.30-5pm.
Weekend working is a requirement of this post and participation in working Public Holidays.
