This is a 12 month contract to cover Maternity Leave. A single EHSCP communications and engagement point of contact will drive forward the new strategy, producing supporting narratives, building working relationships with communicators in City of Edinburgh Council and NHS Lothian, and with the Scottish media.
In a complex and challenging environment communications and engagement must be focused externally and internally, to ensure that our staff and partners, including the voluntary and independent sectors, are kept informed at a time of rapid transformation.
This postholder will be required to provide strategic communications advice, be forward thinking, proactively manage media attention and react when required and take an active role in developing internal communications.
The EHSCP are continuously working to improve services and ways of working. This includes the way in which EHSCP works with partners and stakeholders. With any change, communications and engagement are key to success. The Chief Officer and wider Executive Management Team consider this post as essential to the future development and success of integration, the EHSCP transformation and the EIJB. If you believe you have the experience, energy and enthusiasm to take on these challenges, we would welcome your application.
Interviews will be held in August.
