An exciting and innovative opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 to join the Specialist Childrens Services Team within Inverclyde HSCP for a fixed term of 12 months. The successful candidate will become a key member of the Specialist Community Paediatric Team providing an effective service to Children and their families within the Skylark Centre, Community and Education settings. The post holder will be required to work alongside the Skylark Centre Multi-Disciplinary Team incorporating: Community Childrens Nurses, Vulnerability Team, Medical Staff, Administration Staff, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy in supporting children with a broad range of neurodevelopmental and vulnerable needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own caseload and be skilled in assessing and reviewing children with a Neurodisability or developmental disorder. They should possess excellent communication and team working skills as well as the ability to work using their own initiative. Effective time management is also essential for this role and a current Driving Licence is required. Further information regarding this post is detailed in the job description.
Holding current full professional registration is an essential requirement for this post, candidates who do not complete the professional registration section of the application form or who do not hold current full registration may not be considered for shortlisting. You must also be able to provide evidence of significant continued professional development and post registration study. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check.
Please note this post is 37.5hours per week for a fixed period of 12 months and will be worked Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.
