COP26 Logistics and Fleet Manager

The Scottish Ambulance Service COP26 Planning Team is recruiting a Logistics and Fleet Manager to be based at COP26 Deployment Centre in Glasgow. This post will be a temporary post.

Reporting to the COP26 Planning Manager, the successful candidate will have responsibility for leading a small team of Logistics Operatives based at COP26 Deployment Centre as well as managing all of central logistics and fleet operations for COP26 during event planning and delivery phase.

They will ideally have a comprehensive understanding and experience with all aspects of fleet and logistics management and administration. They will be experienced in all aspects of management ideally within the NHS and be confident in the use of applications within Microsoft office and will be required to train and become proficient in the use of the Scottish Ambulance Service electronic procurement system.  The successful candidate will have responsibility for developing and implementing a system for the robust and effective management of all aspects of COP26 fleet and logistics including vehicle servicing and maintenance schedules, stock ordering, receipt and distribution and inventories.

The successful candidate will be required to build effective working relationships with a number of internal and external partners. 

The successful candidate will be a good communicator, have attention to detail, team player, be confident in leading the team, and be comfortable and confident to work on own as well as part of a wider team.

There will be a requirement for shift working across the 24/7 period, especially in the lead up to and during the event delivery phase.
