Substantive Post, Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Band 6: Salary Ranges - £32,118 - £39,560 per annum

Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,895 per annum

Relocation Assistance of up to £8000 is available

We have all been living in challenging times throughout 2020 but as we remobilise services out of the Pandemic we are looking for staff to join us in order to continue to develop our community based services, supporting the ongoing shifting of the balance of care to community settings.


The District Nurses as the caseload holder leads care for individuals throughout Shetland.  District Nursing teams are part of a multi-disciplinary team based at our 10 Health Centres located throughout the Isles.  Close working exists with social care partners and the District Nursing workforce provide an in reach service to all residential care homes who care for individuals with a range of highly complex conditions.

There is on call commitment and weekend working as part of the Band 6 senior support in the mainland team.

Nursing students have clinical placements across all of the Community Nursing service.
