This is an exciting opportunity to take up a new post to strengthen operational management within the Public Health Directorate
You will provide operational support to the Director in relation to the efficient and effective delivery of services in the Public Health Directorate – specially the Flu and COVID immunisation Programme and the Contact Tracing service, and contribute widely to operational delivery of the business and clinical service agenda.
The role of the Public Health Directorate is to provide a clear and effective focus in the prevention of ill health and on the improvement of wellbeing in order to increase the healthy life expectancy of the whole population, reduce health inequalities and achieve health equity. To achieve this, NHSGGC launched its 10-year “Turning the Tide” strategy to understand and prevent risks to our population’s health and become an exemplar in Public Health. Due to the current outbreak of COVID-19, a key element of the Public Health Directorate’s focus is management of the NHSGGC Test and Protect programme to underpin Scotland’s approach to implementing and delivering the 'test, trace, isolate, support strategy', designed to break chains of transmission of COVID-19 in the community.
With strong influencing and negotiating skills, and the ability to build and nurture collaborative relationships, you will work with a high level of autonomy. A proven track record in management and leadership are required for this role.
