A Band 6 nurse is required to join our team to work with us in enabling children and young people with Additional Needs to access their Education. The post holder will work as part of a skill mixed team working between Mainstream Schools and Additional Support for Learning Schools, (ASL). The post covers the Greater Glasgow Area and we are part of Glasgow City HSCP. You must have excellent communication skills and be confident in delivering training to non health staff. We use a competency based training approach for procedures such as Tracheostomy Care, Enteral Feeding, Catheterisation etc. Confident Nursing Assessment skills are required for this post.

You will help support the Team Lead  in managing the effective deployment of nursing resource within the pathways and support clinical functions such as caseload management and supervision; personal development planning, reflecting knowledge and skills framework and the front-line monitoring of implementation of key policy documents. You will work with colleagues from Acute Services, Education, SW and the wider health team in Specialist Community Paediatric Services.

It is essential that you are an NMC Registered Nurse and be able to provide evidence of your post registration study, education. You must be able to provide evidence of continued professional development. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check. You must have a current driving license.

The shift pattern for this post is Monday-Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm
