Charge Nurse – Band 6

FULL TIME/ PERMANENT


A vacancy has arisen within the GP Unit for an individual who is committed to the delivery of high quality, safe and effective person-centred care.  We are looking for strong leadership to support the Senior Charge Nurse in the delivery of the evolving service within the North Locality and promote development to meet the changing needs of the local population.


The 17 bedded purpose built GP Unit provides rehabilitation with a holistic multi-disciplinary approach.  Our small and friendly team provides medical and palliative care to inpatients with the support of our medicine for the elderly colleagues and wider multi-disciplinary team.


We work closely with our community teams to enable seamless transition from hospital to home.


You will support the Senior Charge Nurse in the day to day running of the ward and to take forward service improvements, coordinate the continuing education and development of staff and to cover in the absence of the SCN.


We have an ethos of continuing professional development and lifelong learning.


You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the NMC Register
