NHS Tayside has invested in a specialist tissue viability service, and we are delighted to be recruiting for Tissue Viability Clinical Nurse Specialists to support the Lead & Senior CNSs in establishing and developing a specialist team to ensure a high level of specialist wound care, pressure ulcer prevention and management and staff education and training is in place to ensure safe and effective care of patients in Tayside.
Experience delivering tissue viability care, developing service and involvement in quality improvement will be useful to support the suitable candidate in this new role.
The CNS for Tissue Viability will be responsible for the day to day delivery of service, ensuring that nursing care is safe, contemporary, person centred and maximises the involvement of patients and carers of the individual.
Education, training and support for staff in all areas of specialist tissue viability management will be integral to your role.
This is a new development and unique opportunity to have a key role in establishing a safe high quality approach to all aspects of specialist tissue viability, wound management, provision of specialist equipment. We are looking for adaptable individuals who will enjoy working in a challenging environment.

Hours of work are: 37.5 predominantly Monday to Friday – 8.30-4.30pm, however 7 day working may be required once the service is fully established.
