Planning Manager Planned Care

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Corporate Planning Team to provide dedicated planning support to Planned Care across all our hospitals as we remobilise, recover and redesign our services.

Working closely with the NHSGGC Access Team, you will lead the development of detailed specialty plans to improve elective waiting times for outpatient and inpatient services.  This will cover a wide ranging change agenda and therefore critical to success will be the ability to establish and build strong relationships with clinical services, and project manage transformational change across health and social care.

You will require the drive and expertise to establish and maintain the required planning infrastructure and monitoring processes to ensure plans meet the key objectives, within relevant timeframes and budgets, and within the appropriate governance structures.  You will be expected to have high visibility among key stakeholders in carrying out this role and will have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The planning manager role is key in ensuring our approach to strategic planning is intelligent, allowing planning to make a significant contribution through influence and negotiation to achieve policy goals.  Secondments would be welcome for this post and if you wish to apply as a secondment please speak to your present line manager in the first instance.

This is a Fixed term post for 2 years.
