This is a fixed term 9 month post.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated educator to join the Oral Health Science tutor team at the Glasgow Dental Hospital & School (GDH&S).
The post holder will educate students in the theoretical knowledge and practical skills, in equal proportions, to a level required to achieve a BSc in Oral Health Science. They will assist in the development and maintenance of the BSc Oral Health Science programme and be responsible for quality assuring the training carried out at GDH&S and within GG&C Public Dental Service outreach centres.
The post holder will contribute to the education and training of undergraduate dental students at GDH&S and Allied Health Care Professional students at Glasgow Caledonian University. They will provide clinical supervision to undergraduate students treating and performing restorative, periodontal and preventative procedures to a wide range of patients and deliver theoretical based lectures, tutorials and seminars to undergraduate students.
Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years clinical experience and must possess a Diploma in Dental Hygiene and/or Dental Therapy or BSc in Oral Health Science; a teaching qualification would be desirable; full registration with the General Dental Council is essential.
The shift pattern is; 08.45-17.15
