Band 6 Specialist  Occupational Therapist, Hospital at Home Team  North Aberdeenshire   (Rotations within Aberdeenshire and Discharge Hub ARI may be expected)

Full Time   37.5 hours per week.  (Permanent)


An interesting and challenging opportunity has arisen as part of a new and exciting development of a Hospital At Home Team in North Aberdeenshire


We are looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to be based potentially in Fraserburgh Community Hospital. This is a new post and may be rotational as part of Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership.    This post is in a Multi Disciplinary Consultant led Team managed by Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care partnership jointly with Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership. The post holder will provide full assessment and treatment programmes for frail elderly people from North Aberdeenshire who have been transferred to the Hospital at Home Team. There is a wide variety of conditions and complex needs in this patient population.   Multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working is essential for seamless transfer to the Hospital at Home team then onwards to Aberdeenshire community teams.  Occupational Therapy is a vital part of this.


The post holder will require excellent communication and organisational skills.


Supervision and allocation of work to Occupational Therapists and Occupational therapy support Workers, and training of students are integral parts of the job, as is service development within the Area and the Health and Social Care Partnership Teams.


Experience in team management, caseload management hospital and physical rehabilitation in the community is desirable, along with a valid UK driving licence and a car available for business use.


We offer regular support, supervision, CPD and development opportunities in line with e-KSF.
