An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Specialist Sonographer to provide clinical leadership and operational management to Ultrasound services across NHS Fife, championing the delivery of organisational and directorate objectives.
You will front the service, dividing your time between fulfilling the management duties of the post and carrying out a wide range of highly specialised Ultrasound examinations.
You will be a credible leader and have a consistent approach to supporting staff, in conjunction with Radiology management team in the delivery and achievement of high quality compassionate and person-centered care, whilst driving quality initiatives across the service.
You will have experience of managing diagnostic waiting times, service improvement and staff development.
You will provide leadership at a high level, inspiring, influencing and motivating whilst responding and participating in the day to day operations of running the department. You must have the ability to work flexibly, be able to work using your own initiative and enjoy leading a team.
The ultrasound service encompasses three hospitals with multiple sites and provides:
Acute and primary care imaging through a flexible extended day service, and weekend emergency services roster.
A PGDip in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent and management experience is essential to the role.
