We are offering an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Reporting Radiographer to join our imaging team within the Radiology department NHS Fife. We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and ambitious Radiographer with strong leadership capabilities, to further develop advanced practice in our busy radiology department.

Applications are invited from HCPC registered individuals with extensive clinical experience as a reporting Radiographer, who have a BSc (Hons) or Diploma of the College of Radiographers in Diagnostic Radiography and are Educated to Masters level with a qualification in Medical or Diagnostic imaging or relevant subject.

The post will be based within the Radiology Department of the Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy. You will work closely with the emergency care team between Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy and Queen Margaret Hospital Dunfermline and with the minor injuries teams within 2 community sites to develop a flexible service.

You will provide managerial, clinical and strategic leadership of the Radiographer Reporting Service, ensuring delivery of a high quality diagnostic imaging service using innovative service delivery models, meeting clinical standards and challenging traditional boundaries by further development of advanced practice.

A key role of the post is as an expert professional, providing advice to Medical Consultants, other health professionals and MDT groups, contributing to improved outcomes for patients, seeking to develop further the patient focused approach to care.  

Other roles include the provision of specialist training and education, supervision, mentorship and ongoing support for Reporting Radiographers, Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners and specialist radiology trainees in the study and development of knowledge and skills in the field of diagnostic imaging.

A flexible approach to work is essential as there may be a requirement for extended working days and the post holder must be committed to providing the highest quality service to patients and colleagues. You will have extensive clinical experience, extensive experience in the training and development of staff and management experience is desirable.
