Dental Officers– Special Care Dentistry (Band A)
PUBLIC DENTAL SERVICE

12 months fixed term
2 x full time (37.5 hours per week)
1 x part time (15 hours per week)
Applications are welcome for the above Fixed Term posts, 2 x full time (37.5 hours per week) and 1 x part time (15 hours per week) based in Duncan Street Dental Clinic. (Job-sharing and part time options will be considered)
We are looking for dentists with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience to join our Public Dental Service Team.
We provide primary and secondary care services under GDS regulations to adults and children with a wide range of disability and impairment, and those with medically compromising conditions including those with mental health issues. We also provide conscious sedation and day case anaesthesia.
We are looking for self-motivated individuals with excellent communication, patient management and clinical skills who can demonstrate team working, flexibility and adaptability. The latter is of particular relevance in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on dental services.
Applicants should have full GDC registration, at least 2 years post qualification experience and have an interest in treating anxious patients and those with additional needs. You should have some post qualification experience in treating patients with inhalation sedation.
