Enhancing Lives Through Technology Project
Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist 10 hours 6 months
NHS Grampian is looking to recruit an experienced Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist to support the ELTT Research project at 10 hours per week, over 6 months – hours flexible to meet service demand.
ELTT is an Occupational Therapy (OT) early intervention and self-management programme. It is underpinned by principles of the cognitive rehabilitation model and person-centred approach. It uses voice-controlled intelligent assistants (VCIA) i.e. (Amazon Echo) to support older adults with functional and organic illness. The aim of the project is to embed compensatory strategies into their daily routine to support them to engage in their Instrumental Activities of daily Living (IADLs).
The post involves organising and completing a range of assessments and outcome measures related to the ELTT Project either virtually or face to face. They will be responsible for gathering and completing one-to-one interviews and facilitating group sessions. Following this, they will be required to collate, analyse and evaluate data gathered during the project.
The candidate must have excellent assessment and communication skill and have experience working within an Older Adults or Mental Health setting. The candidate must be able to work on their own initiative and some research experience is preferred. AMPS registration is desirable but not essential.
