Please note this is a part time post, 22.5 hours and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.


  • To collect blood samples by venepuncture or capillary route from Locality patients within the Health

      Centre, GP Practices and Hospital.


  • A certificate in venepuncture is essential.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is required.
  • Previous experience preferred.
  • Require intensive one-to-one supervised training for an initial period of three months and regular updating of skills thereafter.
  • High awareness of Infection Control policies and procedures.
  • Manual dexterity essential.
  • Maintenance of CPR training.
