Advanced Pharmacist, Clinical Trials
Pharmacy Department
Band 8a (37.5hrs / week) 1.0WTE
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our established multidisciplinary pharmacy clinical trials service to support the expansion and delivery of our cancer clinical trials portfolio in both adult oncology and haematology in NHS Lothian.
Applicants should demonstrate considerable experience working within a clinical trials environment and evidence a good working knowledge of clinical trial guidelines and regulations as well as hospital pharmacy services. Experience working in the specialty of cancer care is essential. They must be reliable, possess excellent communication and organisational skills and can plan and deliver a service, whilst also working to deadlines. They must be able to work independently as well as being able to work effectively as part of a team.
The post holder will be a UK registered pharmacist with a relevant postgraduate clinical
qualification and proven experience in delivery of pharmaceutical care in a secondary
care setting.
The job may require occasional travel across the acute hospital sites in NHS Lothian with main office base at the Western General Hospital and includes participation in the weekend and public holiday rotas.
