As a progressive and passionate learning disability Charge Nurse you will work within our Integrated Community Learning Disability Team based at Ayrshire Central Hospital, Irvine, providing an accessible, high quality service to adults age 16 plus in the community. You will also provide support and supervision to Staff Nurses within the Team. 

Educated to degree level with an RNLD qualification experience in a community, in-patient or residential setting desirable.  The ability to demonstrate experience of undertaking specialist Learning Disability nursing assessments, planning and implementing evidence based interventions and of working in a multi-disciplinary way are all essential 
Good interpersonal skills, evidence of continuous professional development and supervising staff again are essential. You will also be able to demonstrate an understanding of the current policy context affecting the development of person centred learning disability services, positive behaviour support approaches, health inequalities and the role of nursing within an integrated team.

Car driver is essential. 

Hours: 37.5 per week
