Who We Are

NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is an education and training body and a special health board within NHS Scotland, with responsibility of developing and delivering education and training for the healthcare workforce in Scotland.

NHS Education for Scotland is seeking an experienced Test Analyst to join their Delivery team within the Digital Directorate.   The Delivery Business Unit aims to maximise NES’s return on its investment in digital products and services by focusing on ensuring we are delivering the right thing, to the right people at the highest quality.

What You Will Do

The postholder will play a key role in the development of products which will transform the way digital services are delivered within NHS Scotland, using cutting edge technologies and techniques. 

Key tasks will include but are not restricted to:

  • Working closely with developers, product owners and other delivery team members to ensure items of work deliver the value they are supposed to at the desired level of quality. 
  • To evaluate and provide information about the product to allow stakeholders to make informed decisions.
  • Design and execute tests that explore known risks and uncover unknown risks.
  • Exploratory, functional, browser, accessibility, regression and usability testing. 
  • Test automation development. 

What You Will Bring

These will include but are not restricted to:

  • Critical thinker, able to pose questions that uncover information
  • Experience of testing web applications including aspects such as multi-browser, accessibility, regression and usability testing
  • Excellent communicator who enjoys working in a collaborative environment
