GGC fixed term full time or part-time contracts (3 one-year posts)

You will join a friendly team of orthoptists, optometrists and ophthalmologists working across GGC.

You must be a good communicator and have a caring and empathetic approach.

The posts are fixed term to primarily provide support with backlog of PSVS and subsequent HES referral accrued due to Covid 19 pandemic.

However your caseload will be varied and will include : shared care orthoptic /optometry paediatric clinics; adult motility clinics (including Botox and adjustable surgery); endocrine ,neuro-ophthalmology ,maxillo-facial and referrals from the Acute Referral Centre.

For pre-school vision screening in nurseries a car driver/owner would be advantageous.

Clinical experience is preferable and experience of clinical teaching and supervision would be desirable.

You must hold a BSc in orthoptics/B.Med.Sci.(Orthoptics) or Diploma of the British Orthoptic Council and have current HCPC registration. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check.
