An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the GGC advanced practice Physiotherapy team. The post will be based in Clyde sector with a degree of cross site working based on service needs. The post holder will be expected to work as an autonomous expert musculoskeletal practitioner in the orthopaedic clinics with input largely to hand clinics although there will be input to other joints. The post holder will utilise highly specialist knowledge to work out with the normal scope of physiotherapy practice to provide highly specialist clinical diagnosis and determine appropriate orthopaedic management. In addition to the orthopaedic clinics there is a requirement to maintain a physiotherapy clinical caseload of patients with complex musculoskeletal conditions. For this particular post the physiotherapy case load will largely focus on hand therapy / upper limb rehab therefore prior experience in this area along with splinting skills is desirable . The ability to perform joint injections will be required, candidates should already have this qualification or be willing to train once in post . Candidates should have evidence of degree in physiotherapy, HCPC registration and evidence of post graduate education relevant to the specialty. A minimum of 7 years post graduate experience with at least 5 in musculoskeletal, 4 of which should be at a senior level. The Shift Pattern for this post is worked 5 days over 7.
