The Scottish Ambulance Service Mobile Testing Unit Team is recruiting a Logistics and Fleet Manager to be based at MTU HQ in Glasgow. This post will be a temporary post.

Reporting to the MTU National Operations Cell Manager, the successful candidate will have responsibility for leading a small team of Logistics Operatives based at MTU Headquarters as well as managing all of central logistics and fleet operations for MTU.

They will ideally have a comprehensive understanding and experience with all aspects of fleet and logistics management and administration. They will be experienced in all aspects of management ideally within the NHS and be confident in the use of applications within Microsoft office and will be required to train and become proficient in the use of the Scottish Ambulance Service electronic procurement system.  The successful candidate will have responsibility for developing and implementing a system for the robust and effective management of all aspects of MTU fleet and logistics including vehicle servicing and maintenance schedules, stock ordering, receipt and distribution and inventories.

The successful candidate will be required to build effective working relationships with a number of internal and external partners.

The successful candidate will be a good communicator, have attention to detail, team player, be confident in leading the team, and be comfortable and confident to work on own as well as part of a wider team.
