An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Occupational Therapy Team at the Institute of Neurological Sciences (INS), QEUH. This post holder will deliver specialist Occupational Therapy to the Neurological, Neurosurgical and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) wards. The main role of this post is to provide assessment, early rehabilitation and facilitate safe and appropriate discharge of these complex patient groups.  In addition they will have responsibility for the clinical supervision, training and development of rotational Occupational therapy staff, support worker students.
You should be an experienced OT with confidence managing a highly complex caseload, experience and confidence supporting and educating others. You should have an interest in service development and together with Occupational therapy colleagues you will develop the service to deliver high quality evidenced based care.
You will require excellent communication and leadership skills along with a proactive and dynamic attitude.
You should have 2-3 experience working in a range of neurological specialties, including experience working with cognitive impairments
It is essential you have a Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy with current HCPC registration and evidence of relevant post graduate courses/ CPD. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland check. 
The shift pattern for this post is 5 days over 7 0830-1630
