The Out Of Hours Medical service (GMED) is currently looking to recruit Dispatchers to join our dynamic and responsive team.
You will support the service in the provision of out of hours care to the population of Grampian who cannot wait until normal operational hours to see their own General Practitioner.
You will be an enthusiastic person who can manage conflicting deadlines as well as have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as the post involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team and dealing with members of the public in a mature and confident manner.
The successful applicants will co-ordinate and dispatch clinical recourses for the G-MED service which is operational between 18.00 until 08.00 Mon-Fri and 24 hours at weekends. Please note that the service operates during Public Holidays and Festive Periods.
The role requires an accurate and methodical team member who is prepared to work on their own initiative whilst under pressure. Previous experience as healthcare support worker or an interest in logistics and transport would be an advantage, but is not required.
Available hours: various over 4 week rota.
Contract: permanent
