Superintendent Radiographer / Team Leader – 37.5 hrs permanent (08:00-20:00 Mon – Sun) (Full time) Part time hours will be considered.
West of Breast Screening Centre,
Base – G2 1QT.
We are looking for motivated radiographers to join our management team at the West of Scotland Breast Screening Service.
The West of Scotland Breast Screening Service (WSBSS) offers mammography screening to 280,000 women on a three - yearly cycle either at the static centre or on one of seven mobile units. Between 4% and 5% of women screened are then invited for further assessment to review clinics held in the static centre in .
The geographical area covered by WSBSS includes Greater Glasgow, Argyll and Clyde, Lanarkshire West Forth Valley and part of Highland Health Boards. .
As a Superintendent Radiographer/Team Leader your main responsibility will be to carry out and manage mammography screening x-ray examinations and provide direct care for women attending mobile units and/or the static centre.
At the static centre you will also undertake additional specialised x-ray procedures and participate in interventional Radiological techniques on women returning for further investigation at review clinics.
This post also holds responsibility for quality assurance and health and safety in relation to the Breast Screening programme. The post holder will manage mammography staff contributing to screening and assessment processes of the programme.
Requirements for the post are :-
- HCPC Registration
- BSc (hons) Degree in Radiography or equivalent
- Post-Graduate Certificate in Mammography or equivalent (training will be provided)
- Evidence of leadership/management experience
- Full Driving Licence
- Access to Car (car leasing may be possible)
