An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join the Patient Experience Public Involvement Team to build on our approaches to listen, respond and engage with people and communities online. The Digital Engagement Officer will also contribute to the delivery of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Stakeholder Communication and Engagement Strategy.  The Patient Experience and Public Involvement Team supports people to share their views, experiences and what matters to them to help shape how we design, deliver and improve our care and services. You will play a key role in enabling discussion, collaboration and participation with patients, carers, the wider public and our communities by utilising a range of digital engagement tools.  You will create, publish and monitor social media content to encourage online conversations and participation. You will also work collaboratively with the Corporate Communications Team to monitor and respond to feedback and comments from patients, carers and the public on NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s social media channels. It is essential that you are educated to HND level in a relevant subject or have an equivalent level of training. You should also have recent and relevant experience (within last two years) of working with social media and digital engagement tools to encourage participation with a wide range of stakeholders; The creation of engaging accessible content and the ability to adapt your communication approach and style will be key in successfully managing conversations with a range of stakeholders across multiple social media platforms. You will contribute ideas and suggestions, bringing knowledge on how best to engage with people using a digital approach and experience of monitoring and measuring the success of social media activity and collating, analysing and reporting on statistics.  It is also essential that you are an excellent communicator, a self-starter, have the ability to build a rapport with people from all backgrounds and can work as part of a team. It is also desirable that you have experience of engaging directly with people and communities.   The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. You must be able to travel across hospital sites and a driving licence is desirable.
