MID ROSS - OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
HEALTHCARE SUPPORT WORKER
Band 3: £21,709 to £23,603
30 hours per week – Part Time, Fixed Term (10 months)
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the picturesque Ross and Cromarty area of the Highlands of Scotland, offering excellent access to outdoor pursuits and beautiful natural surroundings.
We are looking for a Band 3 Senior HCSW in Occupational Therapy. The individual should have some experience in a Health Care setting and preferably have experience in Occupational Therapy.
The role is primarily community based working under the direction of Occupational Therapy staff. This is a hand on post and you would be working with a range of patients with a number of different medical conditions. The role will involve supporting qualified staff in the delivery of care aimed at enabling patients to achieve an optimal level of functioning, allowing them to stay in their own homes and preventing admission to hospital. There will be administrative tasks within the role therefore good computer skill are essential.
You would be expected to carry out mandatory training including how to move and handle patients. Although not essential, SVQ’s, HNC’s or any qualifications in this sector, would be an advantage however the successful candidate will be provided with the training and support to meet the responsibilities of the post.
You should have good communications skills, be a team player and have a flexible approach to your work. A sensitive and compassionate manner is essential to provide a good service to patients.
Full driving licence and use of car for work purposes is essential.
