The NHS Grampian Dermatology Service are looking for a motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic Biologics Administrative Coordinator to join our friendly team. This post will be Fixed Term for 6 months.
Dermatology services are delivered from a dedicated Outpatient unit within Burnside House as well as from ward 406, on the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary site. The Department of Dermatology provides specialist management for patients across Grampian. We work closely as a multi-disciplinary team in order to meet the complex needs of our service users with a variety of long-term conditions.
The successful applicant will have responsibility for the day to day running of a busy Biologics service and is the key liaison with nursing staff, as well as administering all sub cutaneous biologics prescriptions within the department.
This post holder will also have lead responsibility for the primary contact of patients returning to the outpatient service via a dedicated advice line and in turn, arranging clinic review or escalating to relevant nursing or consultant staff. The role will also include responsibility for data entry onto the patient management system and providing audit data on patient status as required. There will be opportunity for involvement in quality improvement work throughout the secondment.
The post holder will develop the ability to make decisions, which will lead to good booking practice and the provision of an excellent support mechanism for both patients and clinical teams.
