As a Medical Secretary you will be working within the Department of Trauma and Orthopaedics at University Hospital Crosshouse.

Flexible and enthusiastic, you will provide a comprehensive medical secretarial service to the Department of Trauma and Orthopaedics Department at University Hospital Crosshouse.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

Primary duties will include audio transcription of clinic and discharge letters, maintaining and updating computerised waiting list, dealing with telephone enquiries from patients, relatives, GPs and other external and internal agencies. 

You should have a relevant secretarial qualification, e.g. AMSPAR Diploma for Medical Secretaries, RSA or Scotvec qualification.  Medical terminology is essential for this post.​​​​​​​
