SPECIALIST CHILDREN’S SERVICES
COMMUNITY CHILDREN’S NURSING – Neuro Development service
BAND 6 – 1.00 WTE Fixed Term 2 years
A motivated & dynamic Registered Nurse is required for West Dunbartonshire Community Children’s/Disability Nursing Team. In this post you will provide assessment and diagnosis for Neurodevelopment difficulties for 5-18 year olds in the community. Initially for the ASD school aged pathway.
As a Community Children’s Nurse in West Dunbartonshire HSCP you will provide
Referral management for ASD/ ND referrals, initial nurse assessment and be part of the mutli-disciplinary diagnostic assessment team.
First level registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council NMC Registration and car driver are essential. You must be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience. You must provide evidence of post registration study, education, training and / or post graduation qualification in relevant areas of practice (children, young people, families and carers), within paediatric nursing or a related specialism. Previous experience in ASD /neuro developmental assessment & diagnosis is preferable.
