You will provide a full range of therapist and hygienist services, as outlined in the GDC scope of practice, to a range of patients, both children and adult, and including additional needs, medically complex, anxious/phobic, priority groups such as prisoners and homeless, safety-net service, in-patients.

You will work as part of the dental team and provide dental treatment to the population throughout Ayrshire and Arran.

You will be expected to have an involvement in the development and delivery of Oral Health Improvement initiatives, new approaches to patient care and partnership working.

Following appropriate training and calibration, the successful candidate will require to carry out detailed and basic National Dental Inspection Programme assessments.

You will be based at Ayr Hospital but will be expected to deliver care in a variety of sites, including the Dental Hubs, Prison, Hospitals, satellite clinics, schools, patient’s homes and residences, and other sites deemed appropriate.

Experience and knowledge of dental software packages is desirable.

GDC Registrant: Essential

A car driver is essential.
