We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join our dynamic and experienced play service at the Royal Hospital for Children as a Health Play Assistant (maternity leave cover). We are currently searching for a qualified child care worker. The post will be a fixed term contract of 12 months. The role will involve supporting children and young people during the hospital admission through providing recreational and developmental play activities. The post holder will be responsible for managing the toys/play equipment and playroom whilst working closely as part of an MDT. The successful candidate will require excellent communication skills and the ability to support all children & young people inclusively. The role will involve you working independently with professional guidance from a Health Play Specialist. We are looking for a person with some post qualification experience of working with children in a child care setting. Some experience of working in a health care setting is preferred but not essential. In order for your application to be considered it is essential that you are HNC Childhood Practice qualification.

The shift pattern is;  Rolling Rota 2 days one week 3 days the next
